Mr. Debo Ogunmuyiwa holds a Bachelor degree in Law (LL.B) from the University of Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria where he graduated in 2006 and was admitted to the Nigerian Bar in 2007. Mr. Ogunmuyiwa also holds a Master’s Degree in Law (LL.M) from the University of Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria in 2010.

Prior to becoming a Partner in Benfield Attorneys and Solicitors, Mr. Ogunmuyiwa practised with major commercial and litigation law firms in Lagos, Nigeria. Mr. Ogunmuyiwa has extensive experience in Corporate Finance and Capital Market transactions and Intellectual Property. Mr. Ogunmuyiwa has substantial transactional and litigation experience spanning corporate finance and capital market matters, corporate structuring and restructuring, immigration law and practice, labour and employment law, real estate and probate practice, insurance and tax, dispute resolution and particularly trade mark issues and copyright matters. He is also interested in mediation and has attended the Professional Foundation Courses of the Association of Professional Negotiators and Mediators.

In relation to corporate and commercial practice, Mr. Ogunmuyiwa has applied to and obtained from the Central Bank of Nigerian (CBN), Security and Exchange Commission (SEC) permits and licences for carrying out financial transactions and dealings in securities both for local and international clients. Mr. Ogunmuyiwa handles the Incorporation of Companies and registration of business with NIPC, Establishment of Joint Ventures, Incorporation of Incorporated Trustees and Charitable Trusts, the Negotiating and Drafting of MoUs, Shareholders Agreements and Alteration of Name, Objects and Articles of Association of corporate entities. Applying and obtaining from the Ministry of Interior and the Nigerian Immigration Service, Business permit, Expatriate quotas and Combined Expatriate Residence Permit and Alien Cards (CERPAC). Mr. Ogunmuyiwa has also registered Technical and Service Agreements with NOTAP.

In relation to real property, Mr. Ogunmuyiwa has been involved in series of legal drafting and conveyancing, securitization and perfection of titles and syndicated loan agreements, environment and Land use approvals from the Local and State Governments.
